Results: Korean men's perspective of women smoking showed six main themes and twelve theme-clusters. These six main-themes were: 1) Behavior inducing emotional satisfaction, 2) Means for packing oneself, 3) Inappropriate stigmatization as a mother, 4) Irresponsible choice due to lack of self-control, 5) Unexpected deviations that draw pay attention, 6) A pitiful act that should eventually end.

Conclusion: This study can be meaningful in that in an era that women's social participation is gradually expanding, the trend toward equality between men and women is becoming evident. Through this study, the meaning of smoking among women perceived by Korean men was identified. Future direction for policy attempt and strategic approaches of women smoking cessation program is recommended.
